Amalfi was once an independent republic during Byzantine times and one of the great naval powers - learn about Amalfi's past glories, walk the moorish alleyways; sit in the main square and watch the light play on the mosaic facades. Bathe in the Mediterranean Sea; visit seaside villages by ferry and ancient gardens with stunning views! You may wish to attend a concert in the garden of an ancient villa! Accommodation is in a magnificent convent, which clings to the steep cliffs. Visit famous historic sights with your own personal English speaking Italian professional guide. Pompeii will intrigue you and then visit Cassino to pay our respects to our young men lost during the 2nd world war.

You will be lured into the tempting shops of Rome and Florence - and amazed by the timeless history, grand architecture and the famous art!!! The restaurants are fun and the markets colourful! Even if you have been to Rome and Florence before - we will show you places you have not seen! We will make an appointment for you to visit the famous galleries so you do not have to waste time standing in a queue!

Wander the streets of medieval hill top towns in Umbria and Tuscany and become completely immersed in the Italian way of life as we introduce you to our friends. Soak in luxurious thermal baths overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The grapes are being harvested - will this year be a good year? It is the hunting season and fresh game will be prominent on the menu accompanied by fresh vegetables. Discover the local wines and the uniqueness of the cuisine of the various regions - the variety will fascinate your palate! Delicious meals in typical Italian trattoria, especially planned so you can experience the different cuisine and wines of the various regions.

From Florence, travel aboard Italy's rapid rail, in a First Class carriage through the countryside of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and into the region of Veneto and the magical floating city of Venice. Travel by private water taxi through the fascinating canals and be accommodated in a hotel which was once a family palace. The shops and galleries are a feast for the eyes as are the treasures of Venice. Your professional local guide, who was born in Venice, will introduce you to the history and walk you through the back streets! Travel by private water taxi to the islands of Venice.
